Toledo Adds Beth Rieman to Women's Soccer Coaching Staff

TOLEDO, OH - Beth Rieman has been named an assistant coach for the Rockets' women's soccer program, University of Toledo Head Coach Brad Evans announced today.
Rieman previously was a graduate assistant coach with Heidelberg College women's soccer program during Fall 2005. She will work with all aspects of UT's program, including field coaching, recruiting and performing other administrative duties.
"I'm extremely excited to have the opportunity to work and coach in the environment here at Toledo," Rieman said. "After playing in the MAC, it is great to be back working in the conference. I'm very anxious and excited to get going and to be a part of Toledo soccer."
Rieman is a 2005 Bowling Green graduate with a degree in sport management and a minor in marketing. She comes to Toledo following an outstanding career for the Falcons, where she was a four-year starter (2001-04). She scored three goals, assisted on five others and recorded 11 points in her four years. The lone team captain for the Falcons in 2004, Rieman led BGSU to its first-ever MAC Tournament title and NCAA Tournament appearance. She started in 79 contests as a midfielder and defender and was a three-year member of MAC Academic Honor Roll (2002-04).
"Beth is a really great person whose extremely passionate about being around soccer," Evans said. "She's very much into the whole process and wants to be a coach long-term. Beth is very humble about what she does and how she goes about it, which I think is important when working with student-athletes."
Rieman has also served as an instructor for several area college camps and is currently an assistant coach for the Greater Toledo Futbol Club.
A native of Cincinnati, OH, Rieman earned three letters at McAuley High School. A two-time All-Girls Greater Catholic League selection, she totaled 21 goals and 45 assists during her career. She helped lead the Mohawks to a district championship her sophomore year and finished as regional runners-up in each of the next two years.
Rieman is continuing her studies at Toledo, pursuing a master's degree in education.
