Toledo's loss snapped a 10-game win streak against Central Michigan, dating back to the 1994 season. The last Chippewa win in the series was a 45-27 decision at home. UT had also won five in a row in Mount Pleasant.

The Rockets were limited to a season-low 95 yards rushing. UT's previous low mark was 141 yards at Fresno State on Sept. 27. They entered the game second in the MAC in rushing offense, averaging 231.3 yards per game.

Senior QB Bruce Gradkowski finished 28-of-45 for 262 yards passing and two touchdowns. The attempts and completions were a season-high.

Senior RB Trinity Dawson had his 100-yard rushing streak snapped at three games and was held to a season-low nine yards rushing on nine carries. Dawson entered today ranked fourth in the MAC and 20th in the nation with 102.9 yards rushing per game.

Senior LB David Thomas registered a career-best 13 tackles, including a tackle for loss. Thomas also had a pair of pass break-ups. His previous best for stops in a game was 12 on two occasions. The last occurring vs. Bowling Green on Nov. 23, 2004.

The Rockets surrendered a 17-yard TD pass in the first quarter. It is the first points the UT defense has allowed this season. Two weeks ago at Ball State, the Cardinals mustered a TD in the opening stanza as they blocked a punt and recovered in the end zone for a score. Through the first eight games this season, Toledo has outscored its opponents, 88-14, in the first quarter.

Redshirt freshman Nick Moore corralled an 18-yard TD reception from Bruce Gradkowski in the second quarter. Moore finished with a career-best nine receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown. The Rockets now have three receivers with four TD receptions.

Freshman TE John Allen also had a productive day and finished with a career-best six catches for 53 yards, including a career-long 33-yard reception in the first quarter. Allen's previous long was 29 yards vs. Western Michigan.

Junior LB Mike Alston registered his team-leading sixth sack of the season in the third quarter. Alston's six takedowns are the most in a single season by a Rocket since David Bockmore had eight in 2001, a span of four years.

Toledo was 0-for-4 on fourth-down attempts. The Rockets entered the game sixth in the MAC converting 6-of-11 (54.5%) fourth-down conversions.

Senior CB Jason Flowers tallied his second interception of the season in the third quarter. Flowers is now tied for the team lead with Keon Jackson and Bo Martin for picks.

Junior OLB Michael Chamberlain returned to the starting lineup after missing the previous two games with an injury.
