CMU vs. Toledo

-Toledo won its 12th straight home game and is now 29-1 in its last 30 home games, dating back to mid-1999. The only loss in that span was a 27-13 setback to Miami on Oct. 26, 2002.
-After opening the season with road losses at Minnesota and Kansas, the Rockets have won six straight. UT is 5-0 and in a first-place tie in the MAC West with Northern Illinois.
-Toledo won its 10th straight game vs. CMU. The last Chippewa victory in the series came in 1994, a 45-27 win at Mount Pleasant.
-Senior WR Lance Moore caught nine passes, giving him 188 for his career and moving him into first-place tie with Donta Greene (1999-2002) as Toledo's all-time pass reception leader.
-Moore also broke the UT career reception yardage record this evening. He gained 110 yards, giving him 2,250 for his career, breaking the previous standard of 2,191 held by Don Fair (1969-71). It was his 10th career 100+ yard receiving game and third this season, all three coming in the past three weeks.
-Moore's 89-yard punt return in the second quarter was the longest of his career and third longest in UT history. It was Moore's second TD off a punt return in his career and first this season.
-Bruce Gradkowski's interception streak was snapped at 199 passes when he was picked off by CMU's Jonathon Nelson late in the third quarter. He has thrown three interceptions this year, two coming in the Kansas game on Sept. 11.
- Gradkowski threw for 329 yards, his third game this season over 300 yards and the seventh time in his career he has thrown for 300+ yards.
- Gradkowski rushed for a season-high 42 yards, including his fifth rushing TD of the season.
-With the victory, Toledo clinched its 11th consecutive winning season.
-Toledo is now 53-22 in Homecoming games.
- Toledo coach Tom Amstutz is now 12-0 vs. MAC schools from Michigan (4-0 each vs. CMU, WMU and EMU).
CMU Notes
-Kent Smith completed a school record 29 passes for a career-high 385 yards and two touchdowns. The 385 yards passing is also the third-best effort in school history. For the game, Smith accumulated a school record 446 total yards (385 passing, 61 rushing).
-Jerry Seymour went over the 100-yard mark for the sixth time and finished the night with 107 yards.
