Team Notes:

* The Rockets registered season highs in rebounds (43), field-goals attempted (68) and blocked shots (4) and equalled their season highs in assists (23), steals (9) and fouls (26).

* Buffalo's 46.7 percent shooting from three-point range was the highest by a UT opponent this season.

* Toledo registered its 1,200th win in its 88-year program history. The Rockets possess a 1,200-831 all-time win-loss mark for a .591 winning percentage. UT holds a 426-340 (.556) ledger in Mid-American Conference play.

* Toledo improved its record to 7-0 vs. Buffalo, however, its five-point win was its smallest margin of victory.

Individual notes:

* Senior guard Keith Triplett (22 pts.) registered his sixth 20-point outing of the season tonight and has led UT in scoring in 17 of his last 20 contests. Triplett also equalled his career best with seven assists and is 40 points away from becoming the 34th Rocket to score 1,000 career points.

* Sophomore guard Sammy Villegas tallied 15 points and is the only Rocket to score in double figures in every game this season. He also has connected for a three-point field goal in 36 straight games.

* Redshirt freshman center Allen Pinson tallied a season-high 10 points and was the first Rocket to block two shots in a game this season.

* Sophomore guard Chauncey Shelton tallied six points and registered a career-high four assists and equalled career highs for steals (two) and minutes played (21).

* Senior center A.J. Shellabarger registered season highs in points (11) and rebounds (6).

* Head Coach Stan Joplin moved into a fourth-place tie with Eddie Melvin (1954-65) on UT's all-time win list with his 125-90 win-loss mark.
