Team Notes:
* The Rockets shot 80 percent or better from the free-throw line for the eighth time this season with its 88.9 percent shooting (16-of-18) from the charity stripe.
* Toledo shot a season-low 22.2 percent from three-point range after converting just four-of-18 attempts from behind the three-point arc.
* Toledo committed just 11 turnovers for its second lowest total of the season.
* The Rockets are now 7-1 in games decided by six points or less compared to its 3-6 mark last season in games decided by the same margin.
* Toledo's bench produced a season-low 10 points but was still held a one-point edge over Ball State's reserves.
Individual Notes:
* Senior guard Keith Triplett tallied 26 points for his MAC-best 11th 20-point outing this season. He also grabbed a team-high seven rebounds and equalled his season high with four steals.
* Sophomore guard Sammy Villegas scored 10 points and extended his streak of making a three-point field goal to 44 games.
* Redshirt freshman center Allen Pinson blocked a season-high four shots to go along with eight points, five rebounds and a season-high three assists in 25 minutes. He is now averaging 1.1 blocks per game in overall games and 1.5 rejections per game in MAC play.
