Team Notes:

* The Rockets' 56 points equaled their lowest scoring output of the season and also matched their largest margin of defeat in UT's 92-56 loss at No. 5 Louisville.

* Toledo's 36-point loss to Kent State was the Rockets' worst setback in a Mid-American Conference game under Head Coach Stan Joplin, surpassing a 79-52 defeat to the Golden Flashes on Feb. 2, 2002.

* Toledo is now 2-8 vs. Kent State in its last 10 meetings and has lost five in a row to the Golden Flashes.

* Toledo's freshmen accounted for 36 of UT's 56 points led by Allen Pinson's team and season-high 11 points and Justin Ingram's 10 points.

* The Rockets shot a season-low 30.6 percent from the field and a season-low 25.0 percent from three-point range.

* Kent State's 12 three-point field goals were the second highest number of treys by an opponent this season behind only the 13 three-pointers by Louisville.

* The Rockets' backcourt trio of Keith Triplett, Sammy Villegas and Justin Ingram were limited to a season-low 20 points after entering the contest averaging a combined 45.1 points per game.

Player Notes:

* Senior Keith Triplett and sophomore Sammy Villegas were each held to a season-low five points. Villegas' five points equaled his season-point total in a 68-65 win over Marshall (Jan. 14).

* Freshman Justin Ingram played a season-high 37 minutes and registered a team-high five assists. He leads the team with 3.47 assists and a 1.64 assist/turnover ratio.

* Redshirt freshman Allen Pinson registered two blocked shots to go along with his season-high 11 points and has blocked at least two shots in three of UT's last four games. He is averaging 6.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.4 blocked shots per game in the month of January.

* Freshman forward Florentino Valencia played a season-high 27 minutes and scored six points and seven rebounds. He is averaging 7.7 points and 6.3 rebounds since being inserted into the starting lineup three games ago.
