Recap| Box Score| Quotes

Team Notes:

* Toledo remained unbeaten in six meetings vs. Buffalo and are 2-0 in contests played in UB's Alumni Arena.

* The Rockets registered their first conference road win of the season. The last time UT opened a MAC season with six straight losses on the road was the 1996-97 campaign in Head Coach Stan Joplin's first season.

* UT held Buffalo to 36.8 percent shooting from the field, the second-lowest total by an opponent this year.

* The Rockets won for just the second time this season when not hitting at least eight three-point field goals. UT finished 7-for-18 from behind the three-point arc.

* Toledo won its first game this year when it has trailed with five minutes remaining.

Individual Notes:

* Junior guard Keith Triplett's 28-point effort was the second highest total of his career and his eighth 20-point outing of the season. He now leads the team in scoring with 16.0 ppg and has led the Rockets in five of their last six games during which he is averaging 21.7 ppg.

* Senior guard Nick Moore topped 1,300-point mark for his career and is now in 14th place on UT's all-time scoring list. He needs 15 more points to move into 13th place ahead of Larry Jones (1960-64). He also is one game away from tying Keith Wade (1987-91) for most games played by a Rocket with 119.

* Sophomore forward Phil Alexander received the first start of his career and responded with four points and equaling his career high with six rebounds in a season-high 24 minutes.

* Sophomore guard Jim Clement played a season-high 24 minutes.
