Head Coach Stan Joplin:
"We knew it was going to be a close game. We questioned the last two calls. We didn't see it like the officials did and that's disappointing, but you've got to give Ohio credit. They made the plays at the end and you've got to tip you're hat to them."
(On Milo Kirsh's play)
"He did a really good job using his athletic ability. He was scoring and that really helped us out because we were struggling."
(On the last play)
"It was designed for either Terry (Reynolds) or Greg (Stempin). We wanted to take it at the basket because they are our two best free-throw shooters."
(On making the NIT)
"It's hard to say. You never know what they are thinking, but we'll hold out a little hope and just see what happens."
Senior Greg Stempin:
"It's really disappointing for me. It's every college basketball player's dream to make the NCAA Tournament. That was my No. 1 goal and unfortunately it didn't come true for me. Maybe there is a future for me in basketball. I have to keep working hard on it. It is probably going to hit me later that my college career is over."
"We knew it would be this way. The MAC Tournament games are usually close and most of them go down to the wire. We knew it was going to be a battle the whole game."
