Coach Pinkel
On the team:
" I was very proud of our football team. We started fast, got a couple of breaks early and took advantage of it."
On bouncing back from last week's loss to W. Michigan:
" This was a tough week. When you wake up each morning, you feel like there is something missing in you. We didn't get in this business to lose. To say we were disappointed in last week would be a great understatement, but we let that go and played a much better football game today."
On the defense:
"We've been a pretty strong defensive football team this season, and that is pretty much what my expectations are. I was pleased that even when we put our backups in, we stayed focused."
"Tonight was a team effort. We controlled momentum and momentum is everything. How do you get momentum--you make big plays."
On the passing game:
"I'm satisfied with Tavares (Boldon), but for some reason we can't get the long ball. We're doing other things pretty good, but that is probably the most disappointing part of the offense. There is no question that we need to get better at it."
Senior Tailback Chester Taylor
"I try for a 100-yard every game, but as long as we win that's all that matter"
Safety Ira Singleton
" We came wanting to put a lot of pressure on them and blitz"
Backup tailback Antwan McCray
"The offensive of line did a great job and that let me do my job. "
" I have to ready to play each game because you don't know what's going to happen during the game"
