Mike Rachuba lettered in baseball from 1974-77. He finished his UT career with a record of 28-7, the highest win total in school history. He won 12 games in 1976, a single-season record, and ranks among the leaders in all other career pitching categories. He pitched for teams that went 114-56-1, including the 1976 and 1977 squads that won 33 and 34 games, respectively the two best marks in UT history. The left hander won first-team All-MAC honors in 1976, as well as second-team honors in 1975 and 1977. After his career at Toledo, Rachuba was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles and played in their farm system. In 1981, Rachuba played on a federation baseball team that included several former Rockets and which won the Baseball Federation national championship. Rachuba earned a management degree from UT in 1980 and is a sales representative for Mellocraft Corporation.
