Tailback Kelvin Farmer lettered in football from 1984-1986. As a senior, Farmer was named first- team All-MAC. He led the MAC in rushing that year with 1,532 yards, which ranked second in the nation and is the second-most yards by a Rocket in a single season. Farmer also led the team in scoring with 16 touchdowns, earning him the team's Most Valuable Player award. He is fourth on the all-time list rushing leaders list with 2,843 yards. As a junior, Farmer led the team in carries, rushing (748) and touchdowns in 1985. He ended his sophomore season as the team's third-leading rusher with 203 yards and one touchdown, playing behind record-setting tailback Steve Morgan. He was also on the 1984 team that won the MAC Championship and went on to the California Bowl.Â
