John Pilewski was a first-team ALL-MAC third baseman in 1971, 1972 and 1973. He was the first freshman in conference history of UT baseball to be chosen the first-team All-MAC and was he first UT player to earn All-MAC for three consecutive seasons. He had a career batting average of .270 with 82 RBIs and 20 homers, which was a UT record until 1983. He attended Bowsher High School where he played basketball and baseball, lettering three times in each sport.
