Jim Ray

Jim Ray was a three-time basketball letter winner in 1953-56. As a sophomore he helped UT to its first ever Mid-American Conference basketball championship. Was first-team All-MAC and had the highest single season point total (563) at the time. He also scored 1,444 points in his career. Jim Ray played one season of professional basketball with Syracuse of the NBA. He entered the education profession as a coach at Toledo Libbey and Toledo Bowsher high schools. He was an assistant principal in the Toledo Public Schools.
