Haru Kimura was the head secretary of The University of Toledo athletic department for many years. During her tenure, Thompson worked for seven athletic directors, 13 head football coaches and six head men's basketball coaches. She was a majorette in the Rocket band and graduated from the University of Toledo with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
