Frank Clemons is a two-time letter winner as a football halfback, 1940-41, and three-time letter winner as a basketball player, 1940-42. He made Converse Magazine's 1942 Madison Square Garden All-America team following UT appearance in the NIT. Frank starred on basketball teams that were 24-6, 21-3, and 23-5. He was offered a professional contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. During World War II, he rose to the rank of Major in the U.S. Army and won the Bronze Star for meritorious service in the Philippine Islands in August of 1945. Frank was the Toledo City boxing commissioner and basketball commissioner. He was the advisor to the graduate chapter of Omega Psi Phi fraternity and president of the Northwestern Ohio Parents Club for West Point Military Academy. Frank held administrative jobs with the YMCA, the U.S. Government, Tiedtke's and the Lion Store.
