Emerson Cole lettered in football from 1947-49. 11th rushing in one season (1,172), 5th in career Touchdowns by rushing (31), 2nd in average per carry in one season (7.3), 5th in single game rushing (230 yards) and 5th in single game average per carry (15.3). Emerson Cole was honorable mention All-Ohio as a sophomore, second-team All-Ohio as a junior, and first-team All-Ohio senior year, as well as honorable mention All-American. He played professionally with the Cleveland Browns.
