Doward Williamson

Doward Williamson was a four-year letterwinner in track and cross-country, serving as team captain in 1981. In 1980, he became an NCAA All-American in the mile (4:05.1) when he finished sixth at the NCAA Championship Meet. He was also an NCAA qualifier in the 1500 meters (3:44.1) and a UT record holder in the 1500 meters (3:44.16). He was a five-time NCAA qualifier, in the mile relay, distance medley (indoor), 1000 meter, mile (indoor) and 1500-meter (outdoor). He was All-MAC in 1980 and 1981, winning the MAC title in the 1000-meters at the 1980 indoor championship meet. He is part of eight school records: 1500, mile, 3200-meter relay, 6000-meter relay, distance medley relay (outdoor), distance medley relay (indoor), 1000-meters (indoor) and two-mile relay (indoor). He graduated in 1981 with a degree in business administration.
