Dennis Spencer lettered in golf in 1946-66, had the lowest average per round (75.9).He was a member of a team that wen 26-4 won Toledo's Mid-American Conference championship in 1964. Spencer competed in the NCAA Tournament that same year. He had averages of 76.8 and 74.4 on the 18-8-1 team of 1965 and the 18-8-2 team of 1966, respectively. He averaged 75.6 for 57 rounds of collegiate golf. Spencer has won the Toledo District Amateur Championship in 1971, 1973, and 1975 he twice represented area in the United States Amateur Tournament.
