In 1988, he went 6-7 in 16 games and led the team with a 2.19 ERA and 102 innings pitched. Krol also led the MAC in strikeouts that year with 90. As a senior in 1989, Krol went 7-3 and again led the team in strikeouts and innings pitched. He finished fourth in the MAC in both ERA and strikeouts. He still ranks among the top 10 at UT in seven statistical categories. Krol graduated from UT magna cum laude and went on to play for the Minnesota Twins organization for three years.
