The single most dominating Rocket football player in recent years, Williams earned second-team All-MAC honors as a defensive end in 1990, and made first-team All-MAC in 1991 and 1992. Called "the best pass rusher in the nation," by one NFL scout, Williams is still the highest draft pick in Mid-American Conference history, taken as the 11th pick by the Denver Broncos in the 1993 draft. Williams shares UT records with Bob Beemer for sacks (13 in 1992) and tackles for loss (28 in 1992) in a season. He also ranks second in career sacks (28) and career tackles for loss (50). Williams was invited to play in the 1993 East-West Shrine Football Classic, Senior Bowl, Japan Bowl, All-American Classic and Hula Bowl. Currently, Williams plays for the Kansas City Chiefs.
