Calvin Bostic earned MAC Athlete of the Year honors in 1994 and 1995. He qualified for the NCAA Championships in 1994 and 1995. He broke 10 school records, won eight MAC titles, earned All-Conference in 14 different events and qualified for the 2000 United States Olympic Trials. Many of his times still rank near the top of the all-time list. As a sophomore, he set a record time that remains first on UT's all-time list in the 400 hurdles (51.02). That same year he earned the No. 3 spot on the all-time list in the high jump with 7-1, as well as No. 3 on the all-time list in the pentathlon with 3,915points. As a senior in 1996, Bostic's distance in the long jump is second on the all-time outdoor UT performance list (25-8). As a junior, his time in the 110 outdoor high hurdles (14.15) is currently ranked third on the all-time UT list. He is currently serving in the United States Air Force under its Olympic Development Program.
