Bill Bronikowski was one of the all-time great sluggers at UT. He ranks first in career home runs (30), sixth in RBI (122) and seventh in total bases (288). He was named first-team All-MAC as a designated hitter in 1995 and 1997 and as a catcher in 1996. As a sophomore in 1995, he hit .307 with eight home runs and 41 RBI. In 1996 he smacked a career-high 13 home runs and scored 45 runs. In 1997 he hit five home runs, 12 doubles and knocked in a career-best 44 runs. He was selected by the New York Yankees in the 1997 major league baseball draft.
