Asa Charles "A.C." Jenkins lettered in 1951, according to available records. He had 289 yards rushing in just 14 carries vs. Davis & Elkins in the 1951 season opener, the second most yards in a game by a Rocket and the best yards per carry average in a game (20.6). One of his runs went for 83 yards. He also gained 197 yards at Detroit in 27 carries, and 102 yards vs. Marshall in just six carries. For the season he gained 899 yards going into the final game of the season at Xavier, according to existing records. Jenkins also scored 10 touchdowns in 1951.
