Gabby Agostino

Gabby Agostino is entering her fourth year as the diving coach of the Toledo women's swimming and diving program in the 2021-22 season.

During the 2020-21 season, Agostino coached Gallis to her third qualification for the NCAA Zones, qualifying for the platform (256.65) at the Buffalo Diving Invitational. During the MAC Tournament Gallis placed 14th in the three-meter and 22nd in the one meter. Madison Giglio placed in the top-20 of both the one-and three-meter dives, while Ryli Harden placed in the top-20 of the three-meter.

In 2019-20,  Joelle Gallis qualified for the NCAA Zones in the platform at the Miami Diving invitational, and in the one meter against Bowling Green. At the MAC Tournament Gallais qualified for the final round of the three-meter dive, placing 16th overall. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the NCAA Zones where canceled.

During her first year with the team, Agostino coached Joelle Gallais and Sydney Jackson during impressive rookie campaigns. Gallais scored the second-highest score on the one-meter dive in program history, marking a 300.00 against Miami. Gallais also holds the third-highest score in program history on the three-meter, scoring a 309.09. Gallais competed at the NCAA Zones, placing 19th on the platform dive. Jackson sits seventh in both the one- and three-meter dives under Agostino's guidance. Jackson placed 20th at the MAC Championships on the one-meter dive and competed at NCAA Zones.

Agostino spent two years as a graduate assistant for the Toledo women's swimming and diving program prior to being named the diving coach. As a graduate assistant, Agostino revitalized the diving program and helped set the foundation for Toledo to become an even more competitive team. During the 2017-18 season, Agostino coached freshmen Megan Peepers and Elayna Yoskovich through impressive first years at Toledo. Peepers registered five top-five finishes and recorded the best 3-meter (245.75, ninth-best in program history) and 1-meter (262.50, seventh-best in program history) dives for the program last season. Yoskovich registered eight top-five finishes and earned a career-best 226.10 (ninth-best in program history) in the 1-meter and a career-best 238.95 (ninth-best in program history) in the 3-meter dive.
 
Agostino came to Toledo from Bloomington, Ind. where she coached the diving team at Bloomington High School South following her graduation from Indiana University. A 2012 graduate of IU, Agostino was a four-year standout diver for the Hoosiers. She was named the team’s Most Valuable Diver for the 2011-12 season and was awarded Indiana’s Aline Robinson Mental Attitude Award. Agostino earned a silver medal in both the three-meter dive and three-meter synchro dive in the 2012 USA Diving Summer National Championships and was the 2010 Big Ten individual champion in platform diving. While at Indiana, Agostino was a member of five USA Diving National Championships teams and three Big Ten Championships teams.
 
A native of South Bend, Ind., Agostino attended Saint Joseph High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Indiana in 2012 and recently graduated from Toledo with a master’s degree in public health administration.
