Last Time Out
Toledo took two out of three from Ohio last weekend to win its second MAC series of the year.

After dropping Friday's game to the Bobcats, UT won 3-2 on Saturday thanks to senior AJ Montoya's eighth-inning home run. In the rubber match on Sunday, the Rockets came away victorious by a score of 8-1. Senior Brad Boss slugged a solo home run and junior Ross Adolph went 3-for-4 with a grand slam. Senior Sam Shutes pitched very well on Saturday, going eight innings and moving his record to 6-0, best in the conference.

  • Toledo has its best nine-game start in conference play since 2011.
  • Shutes has thrown 260 innings as a Rocket in his career, second-most among active pitchers in the MAC. His 48 career starts are tied for fifth-most among active Division I pitchers.
  • Adolph has been an offensive force in Toledo's wins this season. He is hitting .405 with four home runs and 17 RBIs in UT victories, while slugging .973 and reaching base at a clip of .522.
