TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo softball team is set to host Eastern Michigan for a midweek Mid-American Conference doubleheader on Tuesday, April 2 at Scott Park. The first contest has been pushed up to 11:00 a.m. due to impending weather conditions.
Toledo (21-13, 5-1 MAC)
The Rockets have won seven of eight and 11 of their last 13 games entering the week. UT swept three games against Akron and earned a 2-1 series win over defending champion Kent State to run its record to 5-1 in conference play. Toledo is currently tied for first place atop the MAC West division after six games.
Toledo's hottest hitter in the lineup recently has been senior
Ashley Rausch. Rausch has hit safely in a season-high 11-straight games dating back to mid-March. She is hitting .412 (14-for-34) during that stretch with a home run, four doubles and seven runs scored.

Kailey Minarchick has been superb, going 5-0 in her last seven outings. The junior right hander has allowed five earned runs in 27.1 innings for a sterling 1.28 ERA.
Eastern Michigan (4-25, 0-6 MAC)
After a win over Alabama State on March 2, the Eagles have dropped their last 17-consecutive contests. EMU was swept at Buffalo and against Ohio to start the MAC schedule winless in six attempts.Â
Amanda Akles leads EMU in average (.323), hits (30), home runs (2), RBIs (15), doubles (10) and slugging percentage (.495) entering the week.
In the center of the diamond, Nicolle Miranda has already eclipsed the 100 inning mark this year. She has posted a 2-14 record and a 4.61 ERAin 103.1 frames.
