Orlando, Fla. — The University of Toledo men's tennis team swept Hampton University in a 7-0 victory today in Orlando, Fla. UT moved to 3-8 in dual matches with the win.

Head coach Al Wermer was pleased with his team's performance.

"The guys have done a great job of preparing and getting focused since we've arrived in Florida," Wermer said. "Tonight's match wasn't pretty and it challenged us a bit, but we did our business."

The Rockets' first point came from a sweep in the doubles competition. Luka Vitosevic and Danilo Vukotic won their match in No. 1 doubles, 6-1. Vince Anzalone and Serjen Olmedo followed with another 6-1 win in the No. 3 spot.

UT was firing on all cylinders through singles play with nearly every Rocket sweeping his opponent in two sets. Vitosevic played through a tiebreaker in the No. 2 singles spot to win 6-2, 7-6 (4). Reid Teatsorth was challenged in the No. 5 spot, but came out on top with a 10-4 match tiebreak victory.

Toledo returns to action tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. when it takes on Radford in Lake Nona, Fla.
