Rockets Extend Win Streak to Four, Top Cincinnati, 4-3

Toledo, Ohio - The University of Toledo's women's tennis team came up with a big win over Cincinnati, defeating the Bearcats 4-3 at the Western Tennis & Fitness Club in Cincinnati on Friday.
The victory was the fourth in a row for UT, the second consecutive year that the Rockets have had a four-match win streak.
The pairings of Mimi Kendall-Woseley/Thalita Rodrigues and Colleen O'Brien/Dee Dee Leenabanchong won the doubles point for Toledo. Leenabanchong was the lone Rocket to sweep her singles match in a straight set, but the star of the night was Kendall-Woseley.
"I honestly couldn't be prouder of the team and the fight they displayed tonight,"Â Mauntler said. "We were a huge underdog in everyone's eyes except our own. The players just wouldn't give up. They continued to fight even when it looked bleak. The match was tied at 3-3 and it all came down to Mimi. She was down 2-5 in the third set and fought off seven match points to come back and win 7-5 to secure the match for our team."
The Rockets return to action tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. when the team heads to Dayton for a match against Wright State at the South Regency Fitness Center.
