Columbus, Ohio – The Toledo men's tennis team faced one of the best teams in the country on Sunday, falling to No. 2 Ohio State, 5-0, in Columbus on Sunday.
"They're No. 2 for a reason," UT head Al Wermer said of the Buckeyes. "They have some legitimate pros in their lineup. They're overwhelming, but our guys weren't overwhelmed by the situation. This match will help us get better."
Freshman Nikola Arsic came close to pulling out a victory at No. 6 singles. He won the first set, 6-4, and was trailing in the second set by a 2-1 score when play was suspended due to OSU clinching the match.
The Rockets return to the road next week with matches at Illinois State on Friday and Purdue on Saturday.
