TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo (15-23, 3-3 MAC) will welcome conference foe Eastern Michigan (13-17, 2-4 MAC) to Scott Park on Tuesday, April 4 for a midweek doubleheader. The first game is slated to begin at 1:00 p.m. and both contests can be streamed live on ESPN3.
 
ROCKET LEADERS
    Senior 2B Chandler Rice remains the Rockets' top offensive threat and heads into the weekend on a career-high 15-game hitting streak and 18-game reached-base streak. The Louisville, OH native holds a .388 batting average and 50 hits through UT's 38 games. Rice has scored a team-high 27 runs and recorded 86 total bases.
The senior leads the team in slugging percentage (.667), doubles (11), triples (2), home runs (7), RBI (27) and stolen bases (11). After last week's action vs. Buffalo, Rice is now first all-time at Toledo with 45 career doubles and 317 total bases.
    Junior OF Ashley Rausch trails Rice with 31 hits, 22 runs scored and 10 swiped bags, while senior C Ashley Maynard has posted 20 RBI and five homers.
    In the circle, sophomore RHP Heather Webb (7-8) paces the pitching staff with a 4.12 ERA and 63 strikeouts in a team-high 100.1 innings of work. Webb has made 28 appearances, hurling for four complete games and recording one shutout.
    Sophomore RHP Kailey Minarchick (5-8) recorded her first shutout as a Rocket last weekend with a dominating two-hitter against Buffalo in UT's 7-0 victory. Minarchick registered a pair of victories and posted a perfect 0.00 ERA this weekend to help the Rockets complete a doubleheader sweep over Buffalo at Scott Park.
 
EASTERN MICHIGAN BREAKDOWN    
    Eastern Michigan enters the midweek battle with a 13-17 overall record and 2-4 mark in the conference. The Eagles opened up their weekend series vs. Akron with a 3-0 victory, but dropped the following two, 10-1, 9-0.
    EMU is hitting .262 as a team and average three runs a game this season. Senior OF Michelle Kriegshauser has recorded a team-high 21 runs scored, nine doubles, five home runs and 57 total bases, while senior catcher Taylor Wagner paces the team with a .413 batting average.
    The Eagle's pitching staff holds a 4.19 ERA and average almost three strikeouts per game. Senior RHP Abbie Minsker (2-1) leads Buffalo with a 2.25 ERA and one shutout, while sophomore RHP Nicolle Miranda (4-4) paces the team with 36 strikeouts through a team-high 80.2 innings.
 
TOLEDO vs. EASTERN MICHIGAN
    EMU holds a 55-52 edge over the Rockets in the all-time series. Last season, the Toledo bested the Eagles twice (7-6, 9-0), before falling in the final meeting (8-6).
 
LOOKING AHEAD
    The Rockets will next hit the road for a cross-division matchup vs. the RedHawks on April 7-8 and a single game against the Eagles on April 12 in Ypsilanti, MI.
