TOLEDO, OH – The Toledo men's tennis team (4-5) is off to a great start this weekend with two victories on Friday afternoon.  The Rockets soared to a 7-0 victory against Findlay before defeating Denison to cap off their evening with another 7-0 sweep.

"We had a couple of great practices earlier this week," said head coach Al Wermer. "We're hoping to build up some confidence and collect some wins all the way through the lineup this weekend. So far, so good."

In both matches against the Oilers and the Big Red, every Rocket up and down the lineup recorded a victory over their opponent in straight sets.

Rocket duo senior Stjepan Sisko and freshman Ernie Suksathaporn took their usual spots at No. 1 doubles and claimed their fifth-straight victory on the season in their match up against Findlay. The duo defeated their opponents 6-1.

Toledo jumped out in front in both matches with victories up and down its doubles lineup. Omar Espinosa and Stephen Miller claimed a 6-1 win over Findlay before taking down Denison 6-0 at No. 2 doubles. Vince Anzalone and Serjen Olmedo also claimed two victories at No. 3 doubles, defeating the Oilers 6-2 and the Big Red 6-3.

UT will hit the courts again tomorrow afternoon for a 4:00 p.m. match against Wayne State.
