Eight Rockets Named to 2016 Softball Academic All-MAC Squad

Cleveland, OH – Eight Rockets earned Academic All-MAC honors for the 2016 season, the league announced on Friday. Kaitlyn Bergman, Sammy Emery, Celeste Fidge, Marla Gooding, Kylie Gross, Ashley Rausch, Chandler Rice and Samantha Showalter and 70 other student-athletes were named to the team.
This is the second-consecutive year Fidge, Gooding and Rice have received this award.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
