Dayton, OH – Toledo fell 5-2 on Sunday to the University of Dayton. With the loss, the Rockets drop to 6-6 on the season.
"Today's doubles matches were extremely close," head coach
Al Wermer said. "In singles, Dayton definitely was better today in a couple spots. They would fit right into the MAC in terms of competitiveness, so today gave us a good metric to improve upon."
Dayton collected the doubles point, winning two of the three matches. The freshmen pair of
Juan Carranza and
Danilo Pejovic were the only Toledo doubles team to record a victory. They defeated a Dayton duo, 7-6, at No. 3.
