TOLEDO, OH - Toledo men's tennis will host Denison University this Friday, Feb. 19 for a 5:00 p.m. match before traveling to Dayton, OH on Feb. 21 to face the Flyers at 11:00 a.m.
The Rockets' match vs. the Big Red will also serve as a fundraiser for UT junior track and cross country athlete Janelle Noe (Sylvania, OH) in support of her recovery from burns suffered in an off campus incident on Jan. 15.
"Our guys are still on an improving trajectory with their games and they're very excited to take a role in helping their friend and fellow Rocket, Janelle," said Wermer. "Dayton is a very solid team. To give ourselves a reasonable chance, we'll need to ready to go from the first ball to the last."
The Rockets have an overall record of 5-5 this season. UT is coming off of a strong weekend where they defeated Detroit (3-4), Aquinas (7-0) and Wayne State (6-1).
Vince Anzalone went a perfect 3-0 in singles matches, while
Stjepan Sisko and
Serjen Olmedo both had a record of 2-0. Sisko paired up with
Luka Vitosevic to go undefeated (3-0) at No. 1 doubles.

Rocky, Rocksy and the Toledo cheerleaders will be in attendance on Friday supporting UT tennis. Free food will be provided during the match. Following the match, the Rockets will be hosting an 8
th-grade and under free kids clinic.
Also, a special t-shirt in support of Janelle will be on sale at the match. It is also available at Rocky's Locker, with locations in both the Sullivan Athletic Complex at Savage Arena and at Franklin Park Mall. T-shirts are priced at $20, with 100 percent of the profit from those sales going to the Noe family.
The University of Toledo has sent up an account where Rocket fans and supporters can donate funds to the Noe family. One hundred percent of the donations will go to the family to help cover any medical expenses not covered by health insurance and other expenses that have occurred due to Janelle's injury.
