Stephanie Gillette is entering her fourth season as an assistant coach for the Toledo women's golf program.

Gillette helped Toledo to a second-place finish at the 2024 Mid-American Conference Championships, the sixth time in program history it has finished as the runner-up behind perennial power Kent State. The Rockets also tied the school record for lowest 36-hole score ever at the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational, where senior Macy Hanus shot a school-record two-under par 142. In addition, junior Kyleigh Dull captured the individual title at the Rocket Classic to lead UT to the team title.

Gillette helped the Rockets etch numerous entries into the program’s 28-year record book in the 2022-23 campaign as well as register improvement throughout the roster. Highlighting that season for Toledo was a school-record 54-hole three-over par 867 at the Falcon Florida Classic on Feb. 6-7.  Senior Amelia Lee tied a school record by winning Penn State’s Nittany Lion Invitational (Sept. 17-18) and Bowling Green’s Dolores Black Falcon Invitational (April 6-7), the first tournament victories of her collegiate career. Lee registered a career-low seven-under par 209 to win the PSU event, which is the second-best 54-hole total in program history.

Toledo finished in the Top 10 of every tournament it competed and notched a Top Five showing in seven of 11 events. In addition, the Rockets’ 304.4 stroke average ranked sixth in school history and was over eight strokes better than its 2021-22 mark.

Gillette was elected to PGA of America Membership in 2018 and has been the Head Golf Professional at Ottawa Park Golf Course since 2019.

A Toledo native, Gillette earned her bachelor's degree in finance, entrepreneurship and marketing in 2008 from the University of Findlay. She received first-team All-GLIAC honors as a senior after being a second-team All-GLIAC honoree in 2007. Gillette then served as a graduate assistant for the Oilers and received her MBA in organizational leadership in 2010.
