Trent Voss is in his first season as a quality control coach after spending two seasons as a graduate assistant with the Rockets. He will continue to work with the defense.Â

Voss played linebacker and defensive end for Toledo from 2012-15, and was a team captain as a senior in 2015. He was a three-year starter, earning third-team All-MAC honors as a senior. He had four tackles for loss and was named the Defensive MVP at the 2015 GoDaddy Bowl.
After graduation, Voss served as the linebackers coach and head strength coach at North Port (Fla.) High School from 2016-17.

A native of Grand Rapids, Mich., Voss was a first-team all-state player at East Grand Rapids High School. Voss earned his bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from the University of Toledo in 2016 and his master's degree in recreation & leisure studies in 2019.
Voss and his wife Alexis have a son Cayden (5).
