- Toledo is now 5-2 in MAC play, tied for second place with Miami, Ohio and Central Michigan, one game behind conference leader Western Michigan (6-1). The Rockets play at CMU on Nov. 29 in the regular season finale. The top two teams in the standings will play for the MAC Championship at Ford Field in Detroit on Dec. 6.
- Toledo's win gives it seven for the season and clinches its 16th consecutive season without a losing record, the third-longest streak in the FBS.
- Toledo finishes with a 6-0 home record. The Rockets are 21-3 at home over the past four seasons.
- Toledo held its opponent to 14 points or fewer for the sixth time this season.
- The Rockets also held their opponents without a touchdown for 11 consecutive quarters, with the streak ending on Ball State's score in the fourth quarter.
- Toledo has held its opponents to single digits in three consecutive games for the first time since 1992.
- The Rockets set a school record with 17 tackles for loss. The previous mark was 14 vs. Kansas in 2006. Junior linebacker K'Von Sherman led the Rockets with 3.5 TFLs.
- Toledo also had 7.0 sacks, tying the program record. With last week's 6.0-sack output against Miami, Toledo has six sacks in consecutive games for the first time ever.
- Wide receiver Junior Vandeross III caught seven passes for 127 yards, becoming the seventh Rocket to reach of the 200-reception mark. He now has 204 career receptions, moving past Alonzo Russell (202 from 2010-13) for sixth place all time at Toledo.
- Vandeross also caught two touchdowns, his third game this season with two receiving scores. He now have 11 receiving touchdowns on the season.
- Chip Trayanum's 132-yard performance helped him cross the 2000-yard rushing mark for his career. Trayanum now has 2,118 yards, including 1,258 yards in his five seasons at Arizona State, Ohio State and Kentucky. He has also scored a rushing touchdown in eight consecutive games.
- Tucker Gleason threw four touchdown passes, tying his career high set against Kent State in Week 8. It's the eighth time in his career he has thrown for three or more scores. He now has 57 career TD passes, fifth on Toledo's all-time list.
- Sophomore Dylan Hohler and freshman DJ Kelly each recorded the first interceptions of their careers in the fourth quarter.
