Toledo vs. Eastern Michigan – Nov. 2, 2021
  • The Rockets tallied 672 yards of offense, their most in a game since accumulating 679 yards of offense against Tulsa on Sept. 16, 2017.
  • Junior Bryant Koback rushed for a season-high 180 yards, now has 3,441 career rushing yards, passing David Fluellen (3,336 yards from 2010-13) for sixth place on Toledo’s all-time list. The all-time leader is Kareem Hunt (2013-16) with 4,945 yards. It was the 10th 100-yard game in Koback’s career.
  • Koback also rushed for two touchdowns, giving him 37 for his career, moving him past Joe Schwartz (35 from 1970-72) for fourth on Toledo’s all-time list.
  • Redshirt freshman quarterback Dequan Finn completed 30-of-45 passes for 461 yards and three touchdowns, all career highs. The 461-yard total ranks tied for second on Toledo’s all-time list with Bruce Gradkowski’s game vs. Pittsburgh in 2003. The all-time mark record is 505 yards by Logan Woodside vs. BYU in 2016.
  • Junior wide receiver Matt Landers’ 80-yard TD reception in the second quarter was his first score as a Rocket. He later caught a 26-yard score in the third quarter. He had one TD catch in three seasons at Georgia. He finished with five receptions for 150 yards, the most by a Rocket receiver this year.
  • Redshirt freshman Jacquez Stuart’s 97-yard kickoff return for a touchdown was Toledo’s first since a 98-yarder from Diontae Johnson vs. Nevada on Sept. 22, 2018.
  • Finn’s interception in the third quarter was his first interception of the season and Toledo’s first interception since the third quarter of the Ball State game on Sept. 25, a span of 19 quarters without a pick. Toledo was tied for first in the nation with the fewest turnovers (4) going into tonight’s game.
  • Freshman safety Maxen Hook led the Rockets with 12 tackles, the fourth consecutive game in which he has led the Rockets in tackles.
  • The game was delayed for approximately 14 minutes in the third quarter when EMU defensive back Kempton Shine was injured and removed from the field by stretcher.
