- The victory snapped a two-game Rocket losing streak and moved Toledo back into the MAC West Division race. Toledo is 2-2, a game behind Ball State (3-1) and a half-game behind Western Michigan and Central Michigan (both 3-2).
- Sophomore Bryant Koback set career highs in rushing yards (259) and carries (32). His previous high was 228 yards at Colorado State earlier this season.
- Koback’s 259 yards ranks sixth most by a Rocket in a single game. It was the most rushing yards by a Rocket since Kareem Hunt ran for 271 yards vs. Arkansas State in the 2015 GoDaddy Bowl.
- Â Junior Shakif Seymour added 94 yards rushing on 21 carries as the Rockets ran for 366 yards as a team, second only to the 405 they racked up vs. Colorado State.
- Junior Eli Peters got the start at quarterback. Both senior Mitchell Guadagni and redshirt freshman Carter Bradley did not play due to injuries.
- Peters completed 9-of-18 passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns.
- This was Peters’ seventh career start. He started six games in 2018 and is now 5-2 as a starter.
- Peters'Â 82-yard completion to Danzel McKinley-Lewis in the first quarter was a career long for both players and the longest play from scrimmage for the Rockets.
- Junior corner back Samuel Womack had two pass breakups. He entered the game leading the nation with 12 breakups.
- Toledo is now 8-3 in overtime games, 5-1 in the Glass Bowl.
