- On the first play of the second half, Tyler Taafe intercepted a pass and returned it 27 yards for a touchdown, his second straight game with an interception return for a touchdown. He started his career with 49 straight contests without an interception.
- Cody Thompson caught two passes, bringing his career total to 176. He passed Mel Long (1997-2000) and moved into 10th on Toledo’s all-time career receptions list.
- Jon’Vea Johnson’s 44-yard touchdown reception was the 22nd of his career, moving him into a tie for seventh place all-time at UT in career TD receptions (Michael Roberts, 2013-16).

- Desmond Phillips set new career highs in receptions (seven) and receiving yards (52).
- The Rockets allowed 16 first downs to the Chippewas, the fewest first downs allowed to a MAC opponent since Nov. 24, 2017 against Western Michigan.
- Bryant Koback rushed for 124 yards, his second straight 100-yard rushing game.
