Toledo posted with a season-high 692 yards of total offense, the third-highest single-game total in school history, and a season-best 53 points. The single-game school record is 812 yards of total offense against Northern Illinois on Oct. 27, 2007. The Rockets have now scored at least 31 points in each of the first four games this season.

With tonight's loss, the Rockets had their nine-game road winning streak snapped. UT's most recent loss away from the Glass Bowl happened at Northern Illinois, 27-24, on Nov. 11, 2014.

Tonight’s attendance at Lavell Edwards Stadium was announced at 62,230, the 10th-largest crowd on the road in school history. The school record is 107,267 fans at Michigan on Oct. 11, 2008.

Junior QB Logan Woodside completed a career-best 30-of-38 passes for a school-record 505 yards and a collegiate-tying best five touchdowns. Woodside, whose previous career high was 371 yards at Arkansas State on Sept. 2, 2016, also threw five touchdowns against Eastern Michigan on Nov. 28, 2014. He has now thrown at least four TD passes in each of the last three games. Woodside's five TD tosses for are tied for third most in school history in a single game. Bruce Gradkowski held the previous record of 461 yards passing vs. Pitt on Sept. 20, 2003.

Woodside's total of 505 yards passing tied for the seventh-most yards in a game in Mid-American Conference history, Tyler Sheehan of Bowling Green also had 505 yards passing in a game at KSU in 2009.

Senior RB Kareem Hunt carried the ball a season-high 27 times for a season-best 146 yards, topping the century mark for the second-straight game and 22nd game in his collegiate career. Hunt was also credited with a seven-yard TD run in the fourth quarter.

Junior RB Terry Swanson recorded an eight-yard TD run on the team’s opening drive, his first rushing score on the season. Swanson carried the ball 10 times for 45 yards.

Sophomore Jon’Vea Johnson hauled in a career-high nine catches for a career-high 182 yards and a collegiate-best three touchdowns. Johnson’s three TD catches are tied for second-most in school history and trails only Eric Page’s five scoring catches against Northern Illinois on Nov. 1, 2011. Johnson was credited with a 79-yard TD catch in the first quarter, a 12-yard scoring catch in the third period and a 15-yard TD reception also in third. His previous best effort was 89 yards receiving against Maine on Sept. 10, 2016. His 182 yards receiving is the seventh most in school history in a single game.  

Senior WR Corey Jones hauled in a 26-yard TD catch in the second period. Jones finished with six catches for 56 yards.

Senior DE Treyvon Hester recorded his squad-best fourth quarterback sack of the season in the first period. Hester tallied five stops, including a team-high 2.0 tackles for loss.

Junior LB Ja’Wuan Woodley totaled a career-high 12 tackles, including a quarterback sack in the second period. Woodley’s previous best effort was 11 stops against Northern Illinois on Nov. 3, 2015. It was his second career game with double-digit stops.

Sophomore LB Tyler Taafe tallied a sack in the second quarter and totaled seven stops.

Sophomore PK Jamieson Vest booted a 28-yard field goal in the third period. Vest has now made a kick in each of the first four games this season.

Junior C Nate Jeppesen made his first start of the season and second in his collegiate career. Jeppesen also started at right guard against Eastern Michigan on Oct. 17, 2015.

The Rockets opened the game with an efficient seven play, 75-yard drive that culminated with an eight-yard TD run by junior RB Terry Swanson. UT has scored a touchdown on its opening drive in each of the last two contests.
