Stephen Albrecht: Finishing Up The Spring Semester

As spring semester is coming to a close, our workouts are just beginning to start back up. Last week, we started our weight training, and this week I think we are going to start some individual workouts along with open gym. For me personally, it feels really good to start doing more physical activity other than just doing rehab. Although I’m limited to certain activities in the weight room because of my injury, it stills feels great to work out and be sore some place other than my back. Plus, I have been released to start shooting in the gym even though that has its limits as well. But coming back from an injury like mine is all about progression, and so far I’m slowly improving each day. Overall, our team will have a nice opportunity to make strides in these last 4-5 weeks and then carry that over to the time we have in the summer.
As far as classes go, we have about four weeks left before finals week. With our schedules not being so demanding in the offseason, it’s a great time put in extra hours to help boost our grades the best as possible. Finishing off my first year of college strong is extremely important to me because it gives me confidence that I can do well in school and try to stay a step ahead. To sum up, taking care of business on and off the court is something that is a very important part of the basketball program.
Logging out,
Stephen Albrecht
