Bence Bertenyi Fires Six-Under 65 to Lead Toledo at Seahawk Intercollegiate

Mads Jensen also registers career-low seven-under 64 competing as individual

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Freshman Bence Bertenyi fired a season-low six-under par 65 in the second round on Monday to lead the Toledo men's golf team at UNCW's Seahawk Intercollegiate. The Rockets are tied for seventh place in the team standings with a 15-over par 583 at the par-71, 6,810-yard Cape Fear Country Club.

Bertenyi is tied for ninth place individually at one-under par 141 (76-65). He tallied six birdies in his second round and played bogey-free golf.

Junior Mads Jensen is competing as an individual and in eighth place at two-under par 140 (76-64). His career-best seven-under par 64 in the second round was one stroke shy of former Rocket Nathan Wine's school-record eight-under 64 at the 2008 Xavier Invitational. Jensen's round included six birdies, one eagle and a bogey.

The tournament's final round will begin tomorrow with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
