TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo outfielder
Garret Pike earned his name among collegiate baseball's regional honorees for the 2024 season, taking ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I First Team All-East Region recognition, the American Baseball Coaches Association announced on Tuesday.

Pike becomes Toledo's third First-Team All-Region selection in the last four years, adding to MLB draft picks Chris Meyers in 2021 and
Jeron Williams in 2023.

A First-Team All-MAC selection, Pike started all 59 games in the 2024 season. He batted .360 with 21 home runs and 55 RBIs, a 1.104 OPS and 13 stolen bases, all season-highs for the Rockets. He finished top-five in the MAC in six different categories – ranking first in hits (86), tied for first in home runs (21), second in total bases (160), third in slugging percentage (.669) and fourth in runs scored (61) and OPS (1.104). He is tied for 40th in Division I in home runs and tied for 50th in total bases.

Defensively, Pike assumed the starting center field role, finishing the year with 130 putouts and two assists to just one error for a .992 fielding percentage en route to earning MAC All-Defensive Team in addition to his first-team pick.

Pike delivered 25 multi-hit games including 10 with three or more, 14 games with multiple RBIs and five games with multiple home runs. One of Pike's many noteworthy performances was a 5-for-5 effort with three home runs, five RBIs and four runs scored in a 12-1 victory over Kent State on April 13.

The junior broke both the single-season and career home run records in the same week, finishing the season with 42 home runs hit at Toledo across three seasons. He is also third all-time in career RBIs (138), fourth in total bases (373), sixth in batting average (.341) and seventh in runs scored (146).

Pike helped the Rockets return to the MAC Tournament, where he went .353 (6-for-17) at the plate with a home run, two RBIs and five runs scored, leading to his selection to the MAC All-Tournament Team after Toledo won two elimination games.

Adding all-region to a bevy of 2024 awards, the Waterville, Ohio native was also selected as MAC Player of the Week on April 1 and MAC Male Scholar-Athlete of the Week on April 3. He was also named CSC Academic All-District on June 4.
As a first-team selection, Pike is eligible to be selected to the ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-America teams, which will be announced on June 14.
