TOLEDO, Ohio – A total of 14 Toledo football players were named to 15 slots on Athlon Sports' Preseason All-MAC Team, the publication announced this week.

Leading the charge for the Rockets are five players who were named first team by Athlon: seniors Darius Alexander (DL), Maxen Hook (safety), Jerjuan Newton (WR) and Jacquez Stuart (KR), along with junior safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren. Stuart was also chosen to the second-team as a running back.

Toledo has six home games, including the season opener vs. Duquesne on Thursday, Aug. 29 in the "Biggest Party in Toledo," the Homecoming Game vs. defending MAC Champion Miami on Saturday, Oct. 5 and the "Battle of I-75" vs. Bowling Green on Saturday, Oct. 26.
