Home opener vs. Duquesne to kickoff at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 29
TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo and the Mid-American Conference have announced kickoff times and TV designations for six games for its 2024 football season on Thursday.

The Rockets will open their season on Thursday, Aug. 29 at 7:30 p.m. against Duquesne at the Glass Bowl. Toledo will then remain home to take on future MAC member UMass on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 3:30 p.m. The Rockets will play their first road game in Week 3, taking on Mississippi State on Sept. 14 at 7:30 p.m. ET (6:30 p.m. CT).

Toledo's three midweek matchups to close the regular season – vs. Central Michigan (Nov. 12), vs. Ohio (Nov. 20) and at Akron (Nov. 26) – will all kick off at 7:00 p.m.

Toledo is guaranteed three games on national television with the possibility of a fourth at this time. Toledo played 10 times on national television for the 2023 season.

The Rockets' matchup at Mississippi State will air on ESPN2 or ESPNU, the Central Michigan game on either ESPN2, ESPNU or CBS Sports Network, and the Ohio game on either ESPN2 or ESPNU. UT's home matchups against Duquesne and UMass will each air on ESPN+. The Week 14 regular-season finale at Akron will be broadcast on ESPN2 or ESPN+.

Game times and TV designations will be announced at a later date for the non-conference matchup at Western Kentucky (Sept. 21), along with conference matchups vs. Miami (Oct. 5), at Buffalo (Oct. 12), at Northern Illinois (Oct. 19), vs. Bowling Green (Oct. 26) and at Eastern Michigan (Nov. 2).

Toledo compiled an 11-3 record, won the MAC West Division and reached the MAC Championship game for the second-straight season in 2023. The Rockets were then selected to compete in the Barstool Arizona Bowl to close the campaign.

Toledo returns six All-MAC selections from last year's 11-win team, including first-team wide receiver JerJuan Newton, running back/kickoff returner Jacquez Stuart and safety Maxen Hook.
