BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Toledo women's tennis team remained undefeated in Mid-American Conference play with a 6-1 road victory over Buffalo. The Rockets (9-4, 2-0 MAC) have now won 13 straight regular-season conference matches as well as their last nine MAC road contests.

"Buffalo is an extremely tough place to play, so I'm really happy with the way my team competed from the very beginning of doubles," head coach Tracy Mauntler said. "After grabbing the doubles point, it's always important to have a presence early in singles which is exactly what we did. Audrey, Cassie, Julia, and Sloane all closed their first sets quickly and helped us keep our momentum. I thought our mental toughness was at its best today. Every time Buffalo started to play well, we had an answer."

Sophomore Audrey Moutama kept the energy high at the start of singles play with a two-set victory at the No. 5 court. Senior Cassie Alcala followed suit with a two-setter from the top court to set up senior Julia Kuszynski's two-set clincher.

Senior Sloane Teske was taken to a third set after winning the opener against Arza Deniz Comlek at No. 2 but won the deciding third set. Laura Koralnik got the Bulls on the board with a three-set victory at the No. 3 court. Senior Shalini Tallamraju dropped the first set at No. 4 to Esmee Andresen before rallying for the win.

Toledo will now look to stay undefeated at home this year when it hosts Bowling Green (7-7, 0-2 MAC) on Sunday afternoon.
