Rockets looking for first road win in Detroit

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's soccer team is looking for a road win as it heads up north to play Detroit Mercy on Sunday, Sept. 3. First touch between the Rockets (0-2-1) and Titans (0-2-3) at Titan Field in Detroit, Mich. is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

Last Time Out
Toledo opened its homestand with losses against Loyola Chicago and 2022 NCAA Sweet 16 team Northwestern last weekend. Emily Mann scored her first goal as a Rocket in Toledo's 2-1 loss to the Ramblers, while Madison Medalle scored her third goal in as many games in the 3-1 loss to the Wildcats. Brielle Young made 12 saves in her first collegiate start in goal vs. Northwestern.

Scouting the Competition
Detroit Mercy is also on the hunt for its first win of the season, after dropping a close game to Bowling Green on Thursday evening, 2-1. Seniors Karsen Murray leads the Titans with two goals this season and Jazmine Scott has 17 saves with a 0.739 save percentage in her last four games in goal.

The Rockets and Titans last met on Aug. 26, 2021, when UT exploded to a 6-1 victory at home.
