TOLEDO, Ohio – For the second straight season, the Toledo baseball program received the America Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award, the organization announced this week.

Teams from every level of college and high school baseball were honored with this year's award, which highlights programs coached by ABCA members that posted a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale for the entire 2022-23 academic year.

Toledo posted a 3.418 GPA during the 2022 fall semester and a 3.359 GPA during the 2023 spring semester. In addition, the Rockets placed six student-athletes on the Academic All-MAC squad.

During this past spring semester, 31 baseball student-athletes earned Honor Roll accolades with a 3.0 GPA or higher and ten were named to the President's List with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
