TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's tennis team compiled a 20-7 record against Cleveland State, Cornell and Dayton at the Rocket Indoor Invitational at Twos Athletic Club this weekend. Highlighting the weekend was senior
Cassie Alcala posting a 3-0 mark in singles play and breaking the program's record for most career singles wins.
Alcala now has 80 career victories, three more than senior
Sloane Teske who held the record with 77. Senior
Julia Kuszynski and sophomore
Audrey Moutama also went undefeated in singles play this weekend, Kuszynski at 2-0 and Moutama at 3-0.
Leading UT in doubles play with a 2-1 record were Alcala and freshman
Gaby Rondon as well as Kuszynski with sophomore
Sanjana Tallamraju.
The Rockets went undefeated in singles play on Friday by sweeping Dayton and Cleveland State in 12 singles matches. On Saturday, the Rockets registered a 6-3 mark against its first-ever Ivy League opponent, Cornell, including a sweep of all three doubles matches.
Toledo will close out its fall schedule at the Michigan State Hidden Dual on Friday-Sunday, Nov. 3-5 in East Lansing, Mich.
